For the last seven years, the AV community has supported Together for Cinema in providing children’s hospice in the UK with dedicated cinema rooms. With the charity currently working on its 19th and 20th installs, Ian Morrish, Founder of Together For Cinema is putting a call out to the industry to request donations of AV products.
“The AV industry has come together as a powerful, charitable force to bring the home cinema experience into the lives of terminally ill children” says Ian Morrish. “The product donations that we have received over the last few years have been so generous. My aim is to complete another seven projects to reach my target of 25, and this means that I require more products. I would be thankful to anyone who is willing to donate kit to allow us to complete these cinema installs, and bring joy to the children and their families in these hospices.”
Ian is on the lookout for a range of products, including media servers, blu-ray players, iPads, Freeview boxes, and flat screens (50”+). Thanks to Arcam, Dataflow IT, Epson, Middle Atlantic, Monitor Audio, and RGB Communicates, Ian has stock of, or access to, projectors, screens, AV receivers, speakers, and racks.
If any manufacturers or distributors have old stock that is surplus to requirements, these products can be donated directly to these hospices to provide them with additional equipment.
If you are able to help by donating any of the required AV products, please contact Ian Morrish on 01372 454366 or at email@example.com
