To ensure the industry is fully informed on the new updates to Data Protection Law, CEDIA® will be hosting a General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) focussed webinar in December and an interactive workshop session in January.
In order to comply with the changes to The Data Protection Law, which will come into effect on 25th May 2018, CEDIA has made it easier for integrators and trade suppliers to ensure they are GDPR compliant. With greater enforcement power held by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) moving forward, it is important for organisations to be ready for the changes and have a structured plan in place.
Taking place from 10:30am-11am on 7th December 2017, the 30-minute webinar will be the first in a series of resources on this topic. CEDIA’s GDPR webinar is structured in a way that will help companies navigate and understand GDPR more clearly, providing a clear overview of the key principles and the most important elements of the regulation. It will offer a sensible, practical structure to follow in order to understand what businesses needs to prioritise, helping companies optimise their performance and their responsibilities.
To complement the webinar, CEDIA is also hosting a workshop for CEDIA members on 16th January. This interactive session will educate attendees on the GDPR, allowing them to build a solid plan for the future, with information on the legal aspects, and templates for sales and marketing. During the workshop, teams will be given workflows they can use to get started, as well as case study campaigns to share ideas, and tips on how to run campaigns that engage customers more effectively.
CEDIA members and non-members who wish to attend the webinar and the workshop can find out more and register online here.
