Wetherby CEDIA Tech Summit Wrap Up

On Tuesday 11th June, over 60 integrators, manufacturers and industry professionals gathered at Wetherby Racecourse for the second CEDIA Tech Summit of the year.

The Tech Summit events feature four, 45-minute presentations, with trade supplier members focussing on key categories, including audio, video, lighting, and security.

The first session of the day was presented by Dean Little from LG who provided a comprehensive guide to the key display technologies that are on the market, including LED, QLED vs Nano Cell Display, OLED, and Rollable to enable integrators to confidently recommend a display to suit their client's room and requirements.

Next up, Steve Buckley and Peter Collins from Rako Controls discussed how dimming technology has changed over the last ten years and covered the different types of LED lighting used in residential projects.

After lunch, James Drummie from AWE Europe gave a presenation on home cinema design and how to incorporate IMAX Enhanced, focussing on the four brand pillarss; image, sound, scale and content.

Finally, Timmi Thorsen from Habitech gave an introduction to cyber security and gave advice on how integrators can implement best practices to keep the customer's network secure.

In between these seminar sessions, attendees had the opportunity to meet all sponsors and explore the new products and solutions they had to offer.
